I spent 22.5 years in the United States Marine Corps and Georgia National Guard before retiring on December 31, 2025. The military gave me something most technology reviewers don't have: a deep, firsthand understanding of what operational readiness actually means under pressure, and what it costs when teams aren't prepared.

Cyber ranges were developed for military training. The frameworks we write about — NIST 800-53, CMMC, incident response protocols — are rooted in the same principles that drive military readiness. That background shapes how I evaluate these platforms: not by vendor claims, but by whether they produce teams that can perform when it matters.

Technology Background

I've been building an online presence since 2006 and became serious about digital strategy after 2020. I'm self-taught across web design, lead generation, AI tooling, and digital marketing. I use GitHub, Claude, and Replit daily across a portfolio of 30+ projects including web applications, research tools, and content platforms. I manage over 276 domains and actively develop properties across multiple technology verticals through Global IT Associates.

I don't have a cybersecurity certification — and I'm upfront about that. What I bring is a practitioner's eye for evaluating technology markets, a structured military mindset for cutting through vendor noise, and the discipline to research thoroughly before publishing. CyberSecurityRange is written for decision-makers who need honest, unsponsored analysis, not marketing wrapped in editorial clothing.
